YOUTH PROJECT
The majority of the Youth Project funding comes from Department of Community Services with smaller grants provided by Penrith City Council. A Youth Worker and a Youth Assistant, staff the centre during opening hours.
The Youth Centre is a place for young people aged 12-18 years to hang out with their friends, learn new skills, participate in activities, meet new people and most of all have a great time
The centre has arcade games, pinball machines, ping pong and pool tables, an X Box playstation,and basketball hoops to keep young amused.

Drop In at St Clair Youth Centre During school terms a ‘Drop In’ program is offered to young people 12—18 years. Kids can participate in pool comps, challenge each other on the X Box and Playstation, shoot hoops or just hang out and catch up with friends.
Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00—6:00pm Cost: Free Chips and drinks available at minimal cost |

School Holidays During school holiday a number of activities, are organised at the Youth Centre, including outings, movies days, karaoke competitions and bbqs.
July School Holidays. 5th July Drop In 10am—3pm Come along to the youth centre & hang out. We have arcade games, pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, basketball etc. Have a go at Sing Star or challenge others on the Wii console. There’s heaps of stuff to do! Cost: $2.50 for lunch
6th July Outing to the Movies in the City We will be meeting at St Marys Train station at 9:00am to head to the city to watch a movie at the George Street cinemas. If time permits we will be heading down to Darling Harbour afterwards for a look around. We will return to St Marys Train Station at approx 4pm. Cost:$14.00 (Bring your lunch or extra money to buy some)
7th July Xmas in July activities @ the youth centre 10am—3pm Come along to the youth centre and join in on the Xmas in July activities we have organised for the day. There is heap of fun to be had for all. Drop In will also be running so come and check it out. Cost: $2.50 for lunch ( Bacon & Egg Rolls ) |

The Learning Lounge The Learning Lounge has been established to assist youth with their homework. The Lounge is equipped with tutors, computers, resource books and internet connection.

Service / Support Other services provided by our youth worker include Employment Assistance, including resume writing, photocopier, computer and fax machines and Court Support. The youth worker can also provide kids and parents with information and referral on youth related issues. |
